Privacy Policy
How Rivel handles Apple Health data, permissions, support messages and privacy requests.

Who we are
Rivel is developed by Vakas Siddiqui. This policy explains how the Rivel app and website handle information. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@rivelapp.com.
Apple Health data stays on your device
With your permission, Rivel reads relevant Apple Health information, such as sleep duration and stages, heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, workouts, activity and energy data. Rivel uses this information on your device to display readiness, sleep, effort, vitals and workout insights. Health information and the insights derived from it are not uploaded to Rivel servers, sold, used for advertising, or sent to third-party AI services. Rivel does not provide its own cloud health-data sync service.
Permissions and your choices
You choose which Health data Rivel can access. You can review or revoke that access in the Health app or your device’s privacy settings. Features that depend on information you do not share may be limited. Revoking access stops future access; it does not delete the original records in Apple Health. Apple Health and any Apple-managed sync or backup are controlled by your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.
Accounts, tracking and analytics
The current Rivel app does not require a Rivel account and does not include advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. Rivel does not send your health information to external AI services. Apple may separately process App Store, device or diagnostic information under your Apple settings and its own privacy policy.
Support correspondence
If you email hello@rivelapp.com, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request, troubleshoot problems and maintain support correspondence. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive health records. Email delivery and storage involve the email service providers used by you and by Rivel; support email is separate from the app’s on-device health processing.
Website information
This website does not add analytics trackers or advertising cookies and does not request access to Apple Health. Our hosting and security providers may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser details and request time, to deliver and protect the website. Those providers process website traffic, not your app’s Health data. Links to Apple or other external websites are subject to those services’ own privacy practices.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Support correspondence and website request information may be handled by service providers only as needed to provide those services. Providers handling information on our behalf are required to protect it and limit its use to the relevant service. We may disclose information we hold when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and security. Your Health data is not held on our servers for disclosure.
Retention and deletion
Health records remain in Apple Health according to your device and Apple settings. Rivel’s local app data can be removed by deleting the app using Delete App, rather than Offload App; device backups are managed separately through Apple. Deleting Rivel does not delete your original Apple Health records. We retain support correspondence only for as long as needed to address the request and meet applicable legal obligations. Email hello@rivelapp.com to request deletion of correspondence or other personal information we hold. We may ask for reasonable information to verify the request. We cannot delete Apple-managed Health records or backups for you.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information we hold, restrict or object to certain processing, or complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact hello@rivelapp.com to exercise those rights. Rivel cannot retrieve health information that remains exclusively on your device.
Security and international processing
We limit the information we receive and use reasonable safeguards for the information we hold. No internet or email service can guarantee absolute security. Website hosting and email providers may process technical data or correspondence in countries other than yours; applicable protections and service-provider safeguards apply. This does not change the app’s on-device handling of Health information.
Children and family use
Rivel is a general fitness and wellness app and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support, contact us so we can address the request and remove information where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date shown above. If a future feature changes how personal or Health data is handled, we will explain that change and obtain permission where required before the new processing begins.
